Nutrients are very important to the body. The body needs them for energy, growth and tissue repair. This increases the need for everyone to be away of how many nutrients they are introducing to their bodies. They are needed throughout a person's lifespan. Depending on your physical activity and age, the amount of nutrients required for a healthy body will vary.
There are two types of nutrients: non essential and essential. Non essential nutrients are those that can be produced within the body. Essential nutrients cannot be made by the body but are needed so they must be consumed in foods.
Protein, carbohydrates, lipids and alcohol are essential. They are found within plants or animals. The human body requires various types of nutrients because no one food contains all the essential nutrients needed. Egg and breast milk contain almost all essential nutrients. These are considered a "perfect food".
Ganoderma contains a variety of necessary nutrients.
