The country is in the midst of a "shake up". Major corporations are still laying off employees. Verizon Communications and Walmart are two very well known companines. Yet, Verizon has announced that 13,000 employees will be let go while Walmart has made the decision to lay off 11,200 Sam's Club staff members. This comes at a time when the nation is attempting to stabilize itself after the initial round of firings. In addition to trying to prevent continued job loss, the United States has the added task of reforming health care. It is a topic that is so detailed that it contains almost 2000 pages. Democrats and Republicans are having a very difficult time aggreeing on the issues. It is something that President Obama will address is his first State of the Union Address tonight.
